The Rosalia Railroad Bridge
Standing beneath the concrete arches in Rosalia, you’d be forgiven for thinking you’d stumbled upon a Roman aqueduct in the middle of the Washington Palouse. This is the Rosalia Railroad Bridge—a 1915 architectural 'power move' by the Milwaukee Road to outshine its rivals. Today, the steam engines are gone, replaced by the quiet of the Palouse to Cascades trail, leaving behind a weathered monument where industrial ambition meets the rolling hills.
